Pyramid Coordinator "gives" local to her husband: It's not a

Built in 1988, three years after the death of Enver Hoxha, the Pyramid of Tirana is one of the most interesting buildings in the capital. This work was designed as a museum of the dictator's life and work and was considered the most expensive investment of its time.

After the fall of the regime in 1991, the building became a cultural center and then experienced many historical events, as parts of it were turned into bars and discos, television studios, and private offices, gradually leading it to irreversible degradation. Several times in the Albanian parliament there have been strong debates about whether or not to demolish the Pyramid, which for the parliamentary right and the associations of the persecuted was a symbol of communism in the heart of the capital.

But the coming to power of the Socialists immediately stopped this initiative, and in 2021 a project was implemented to transform the pyramid into the largest digital center in the Balkans. At the time, Prime Minister Rama described the reconstruction of the Pyramid as a dream come true after so many years.

But what function does the Pyramid of Tirana have today?

Inside, there are 18 rooms where young people can study IT, robotics, design, as well as 14 outdoor classes. According to the project, in addition to the existing building, other spaces were created, separated from the Pyramid. As stated, it would be the new home of TUMO Tirana, a center for creative technology that offers students the opportunity to acquire essential 21st century skills such as animation, game development, graphic design, filmmaking, music, 3-D modeling, and robotics.

Everything would be perfect if that were true.

Because in addition to centers dedicated to children and youth, the pyramid would not lack bars and cafes rented out by the legal owner of the facility: the Municipality of Tirana.

Almost all of Mayor Veliaj's quarters are for his friends and associates. As in the case of DV8 to Art, a coffee bar-restaurant located in the western part, therefore, highly coveted by anyone doing business.

So what's so special about this bar in the heart of the Pyramid that makes high-quality Arabic coffee? Let's explain.

The monitoring of the reconstruction works of the Pyramid was carried out by the Directorate of Public Works Planning at the Municipality of Tirana, headed by Ilda Qayimllari, a person from the infamous 5D file. Since the lady in question was involved in the scandal that led to the imprisonment of half of the directors of the Municipality of Tirana, Mrs. Alika Joanidhi was appointed as the coordinator for the monitoring of the works.

And for this sacrifice in the midst of a storm with SPAK that had engulfed the municipality, she had to be rewarded. Which, in fact, Lali Eri did without thinking twice.

The premises of the famous Arabic coffee shop were given to the company Dv8 sh.pk, owned by Rezart Joanidhi with 66% of the shares, while 34% is owned by his partner Albert Leka. As one can imagine, Rezart Joanidhi is a relative of Alika Joanidhi, the coordinator of the Pyramid project.

Even a very, very close relative, because it's the husband. To put it simply, the wife has given her husband a very small gift....a super place in the heart of the capital.

Now let's take a look at how things are done in this country. According to the historical extract from the National Business Center, the entity dv8 to art was founded on September 7, 2023 and was registered with the National Business Center the following day.

The new company was registered with a capital of 58 million 315 thousand old lek, of which Rezart Joanidhi owns 66%, or a little more than 35 million lek.

Aren't we in a conflict of interest with this environment given in the name of Rezart Joanidhi, the husband of the coordinator of the Pyramid project?

Moreover, the lady in question has already been rewarded for her good work, being appointed director of the public works investment department in the Municipality of Tirana.

So to learn more about how she managed to reward her husband with such a coveted restaurant, we decided to meet Mrs. Joanidhi herself.

The latter denies having given her husband premises in the Pyramid. According to her, it was done by auction and there is no conflict of interest./Piranjat
