KPA reinstates judge Ermira Dedja

The Special Chamber of Appeal, KPA, decided on Tuesday, March 25, to amend the Commission's decision regarding the dismissal of Shkodra judge Ermira Dedja and confirmed it by reinstating her to her function. The decision was taken unanimously by the panel of judges of the Chamber, headed by Sokol Çomo, with rapporteur Rezarta Schuetz and members Albana Shtylla, Ina Rama and Natasha Mulaj, after reviewing Dedja's appeal in the consulting room.

The Independent Qualification Commission, KPK, decided on January 12, 2022, to dismiss Shkodra judge Ermira Dedja from office for problems that, according to the body that conducted the first-instance vetting process, stemmed from inaccuracies in asset declarations. Meanwhile, Judge Dedja was positively assessed for her clean image and professional competence.

The decision of the College to amend the decision of the KPC is final.

Ermira Dedja began her career in the justice system in 1993 and has been working as a judge at the Shkodra Court for almost three decades. Reporter.al
