Prime Minister Edi Rama forgets the success of Albanian teams in Europe

Prime Minister Edi Rama forgets the success of Albanian teams in Europe

Last night was beautiful and festive for the Albanian teams in the qualifiers for the European competitions. The three teams of the Superior Category, Partizani, Laçi and Vllaznia won and advanced further in the "Conference League".

Partizan managed to win in Moldova against Sfintul with the result 2-3, as they had won the first match in "Elbasan Arena" with the result 5-2.

Laçi defeated in "Elbasan Arena", the opponents of Podgorica with the result 3-0, reversing the result of the first match where they lost 1-0 in Montenegro.

Even more beautiful was the victory of Vllaznia in an overcrowded "Loro Boriçi" in Shkodra, where it managed to defeat 3-0 the Bosnians of Shiroki Brijeg. Shkodra had lost the first match 3-1, but the miracle would happen in the second part of the match in Shkodra where all three goals were scored and passed to the second round of the "Conference League".

In the next round, Albanian teams face more difficult opponents, such as Basel of Switzerland for Partizan, Universitatea Crajova of Romania for Laç and AEL Limassol of Cyprus for Vllaznia. Anyway, let's stop last night, which was an evening of pride for all Albanians, because when it comes to Albanian teams in the European arena, everyone gets together.

There were many congratulations on social networks for the three Albanian teams, but the most important congratulation was missing, the post of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The head of government forgot about the success of Albanian teams in the European arena, despite the level of opponents.

We are used to seeing Prime Minister Edi Rama very active on social networks for football. We have seen Rama react for the Italian national team, after each stage of the European Championship. He even often posted photos faster than the Italian national team. He also reacts to Juventus after victories in the "Champions League" or "Serie A" and often wishes another team for victories in Europe.

But, whenever there is talk of the success of Albanian football, surprisingly there is no description by the head of government. This sport is a link in the chain with the country's economy and we do not often see a poor country that has an impressive performance in football.

Football has come a long way in our country, if we compare it with other fields. The government has not yet opened negotiations with the European Union, while an Albanian team has been included in a European competition since 2015. It is about Skënderbeu who played in the groups of "Europa League" and repeated the same in 2017. While the participation of the Albanian national team in Euro 2016 should not be left without emphasis.

Albanians should feel proud of their football and with them the Prime Minister Edi Rama!
