Cup of Albania for girls / Vllaznia and Apolonia one step away from the final

The Cup of Albania for girls played today the two semi-final matches of the 202-2023 edition. Apolonia-Tirana and Partizani-Vllaznia were the pairs that took to the playing field in the first matches of this phase, with the return matches to be played a week later.

Apolonia defeated Tirana cleanly, taking revenge for the loss suffered in the championship. 4-0 was the final score of the 90th minute with the girls from Fiera who unlocked the game in the sixth minute with Aglia Iljadhi. The locals doubled the result in the first half, in the 40th minute with Valentina Troka, going into the break with a double advantage. The second half also spoke for the white and greens who scored two more times with Jesika Ndoji in the 53rd and 90th minutes. With this victory, Apolonia is one step closer to the final, even though next week it will play the return challenge.

Reigning Albanian Cup winners Vllaznia achieved a resounding 7-0 victory over Partizan in the capital. The red and blue girls scored three goals in the first half with Megi Doçin, Klaudia Borçin and Arbênita Currajn. The second half starts immediately with a goal, as in the 48th minute Luçie Gjini found the fourth goal before the other three goals came from Megi Doçi in the 56th, 65th and 81st minutes, fixing the final score 7 to 0. The match the return to "Reshit Rusi" seems a formality with Vllaznina taking a step towards the big final.
