The Italian police have arrested a 31-year-old Albanian man, after he raped and tied his partner to the bed with a rope, preventing her from leaving, while he was out. 

The event, which was reported by the Albanian's partner, happened on the night between April 8 and 9 last year.

According to the Italian media, the 31-year-old man had also removed the house keys, but the young woman managed to untie the rope and escape from the apartment.

On the street, she found help from passers-by who accompanied her to the police. In the last year, she was raped several times, due to jealousy on the part of the 31-year-old. When the soldiers searched the house, they found the rope with which the young woman had been tied. After investigations, he was arrested for domestic abuse and kidnapping. He is now in jail awaiting trial.
