"Doctor" chapter closes, Valentino Rossi bids farewell to MotoGP

Valentino Rossi will end his MotoGP career at the end of this season. Rossi captured the hearts of thousands of MotoGP fans by turning them into their idol.

Known by the nickname "Dokori", he officially announced his departure from the championship after 26 years of participation and winner of 9 world champion titles. Rossi praised his team for the unforgettable moments he has given them, as he added that he has enjoyed his endless journey in MotoGP.

"I have made a decision for next year, after the summer holidays. I have decided to stop at the end of the season. Unfortunately, this will be my last half season at MotoGP. Next year my life will change in one perspective, but anyway. It was fantastic and I enjoyed it a lot. It was a very long journey. And it was very enjoyable. It is almost 25, 26 years in the world of the championship. "I had unforgettable moments with my team and all the guys who worked for me," said Rossi.
