Bad weather has engulfed the country in recent hours, with rain and snow showers present.

According to reports from the structures of the Civil Protection system at the National Civil Emergency Operations Center, the situation so far is as follows:

Announcement: 

In the Dibra region, the “Arbri” road is impassable due to heavy snowfall. Contractors are working to open this road.
In the Dibra municipality, several administrative centers such as Lura, Selishte, Luzni, Kala e Dodës and Zall Dardhë are blocked by the snowfall.
The Bulqizë municipality has blocked the Ostren and Trebisht administrative units.
In the Klos municipality, secondary roads connecting villages with the administrative centers Suç, Gurë and Xibër are blocked.
In the Mat municipality, several roads connecting villages with the administrative centers Macukull, Lis, Derjan and Komsi are also blocked.
The Peshkopi-Ulëz road axis is blocked in Qafë Ulëz due to snow and ice, as well as vehicles driving without winter tires.
In the municipality of Kruja, the Cudhi Kamp-Qafështamë road axis is blocked by snowfall, while the road to Shëngjergj, Tirana municipality, is difficult to pass due to snow.
In Vlora, the water level on the city's roads is rising, with 87 mm of rain falling today, causing traffic difficulties.
During the day, snowplows are being used to keep passable roads open and to open those blocked by snow. The Ministry of Defense recommends that road users drive at a limited speed and respect road signs, as well as use winter tires on snowy roads.

Ports:

In the port of Durrës, the navigation of small ships and ferries on the Durrës-Bari-Durrës line has been banned. While in the port of Vlora, no problems have been reported for ship navigation.
Rivers and Reservoirs: All rivers and reservoirs are within normal limits and do not pose a risk, according to reports from civil protection structures.

According to information from the Institute of Geosciences and the Military Meteorological Service, snowfall is expected to cover the Northern, Northeastern, Central and Southeastern areas during today's afternoon and tomorrow. The precipitation is expected to be accompanied by significant drops in temperatures and frost, which may cause difficulties in road transport.

Minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to reach:

On the coast: 5 / 12 °C
In the lowlands: 5 / 10 °C
In the mountains: -4 / 4 °C
The wind is expected to blow light to moderate, while in the north and coast to strong. Monitoring and coordination with all central and local institutions will continue for the management of emergency situations.
