The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, shared in his profile on the X network the position on the approval by the UN Assembly of the Resolution that establishes July 11 as the International Day of Reflection and Remembrance of the Genocide of 1995 in Srebrenica.
"The United Nations General Assembly today adopted a resolution establishing July 11 as the International Day of Reflection and Remembrance of the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide.
Albania once again confirmed itself in the group of Western values with its vote and commitment to have this resolution approved.
This date will serve as a permanent bell to commemorate the punishment of the genocide, so that such massacres do not happen again, and at the same time it is also a response to the deniers of the genocide and such terrible crimes ." - wrote the President of the Republic.
