Even according to the KEIT clinic, rhinoplasty remains among the interventions with the highest number, including the age group from 25 to 35 years.

Breast augmentation is another intervention that is preferred by Albanian women, while men prefer hair transplantation or transplanting. "Stomach reduction operations or the placement of a gastric balloon this year have increased by 30% more.

For years there has been reluctance to perform these interventions that help with healthy weight loss. This year, thanks to the increase in the distribution of medical information about obesity operations, the flow of demand for this type of intervention has increased."

Gastric weight loss surgery can be performed by people aged 18 to 65 years. In order for a person to be a suitable candidate for gastric bypass surgery, the body mass index (BMI) values ​​determined by the World Health Organization must be 35 years or older. After the intervention, individuals typically lose about 70-80% of excess weight within 12-18 months.

For the dermatologist and beautician with over 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Lida Hoxha, the 25 to 45-year-old age group is the one that performs more plastic surgeries among the Albanian population. For foreign citizens, the age limit increases from 55 to 60 years. "Foreigners have a different concept of life. They perform aesthetic interventions, at that age when Albanian ladies give them up."

Doctors claim that there is a growing trend of aesthetic treatments in order to preserve the naturalness and freshness of the appearance.

The growing demand will continue for many years. These treatments will never disappear unless the procedures are perfected. Man's desire to look beautiful and young never disappears. Everyone has this desire", underlines doctor Lida Hoxha. Aesthetic treatment procedures with botox and fillers, according to doctor Skerdilajd Faria, are quite preferred to be carried out in Albania by Italian citizens.

"Advantaged also by the cheap prices of airline tickets, many Italian citizens come to us only for these types of aesthetic treatments.

Dental services are also quite preferred by Italian citizens, where our company is expected to invest soon in the provision of this service". In addition to aesthetic interventions, which are highly demanded by foreign citizens, especially Italians, there are also dental adjustments.

Even with this service, due to the increase in demand, the prices remain several times cheaper. If in Italy, about 21,000 euros are required for the adjustment of teeth with the placement of dental implants (upper and lower part), in Albania this service is also offered at a cost of up to 5,000 euros, almost 4 times lower.

For the doctors of private aesthetic surgery clinics, the increase in demand for dental tourism has also positively affected the plastic surgery market, since many of the foreigners who come to fix their teeth want to perform other interventions at the same time. \monitor
