Pascal Milo criticizes Rama: Like Enveri, he is dictating how history should be

Historian Paskal Milo has criticized Prime Minister Edi Ramës, comparing him with former dictator Enver Hoxha, for having a tendency to show how history should be written.

Invited to the show "Now" in Euronews Albania, Milo emphasized that the story is being distorted while he showed how he himself was attacked for his latest book, which according to him was a truth about the former dictator Enver Hoxha.

"During the war years, there were no more than 200-300 Jews. He did not undertake to correct the mistakes of the prime minister. He is an artist, I am a historian. It is the simple Albanians, the Albanian families who saved the Jews, they hid them, they protected them. If we want to transform the behavior of Albanians by posting this attributed to high officials of the Albanian collaborationist government, here we distort history. We need to set the record straight.

In my last publication about the war, I dared and told a truth that Enver Hoxha provoked with the letters of October 1, but the people of the extreme left have attacked me, accusing me in the most absurd ways. But that doesn't sway me. Let's leave the history to the specialists. Today there is the same tendency that, as Enver Hoxha did about how history should be written, the same thing is done today, in the sense of evaluations of historical figures" - said Milo.
