Low pensions, the expert: The main reason is corruption and immigration, not informality
Economy expert Teuta Nunaj explained why pensions are low in over 30 years of democracy.
Invited to News 24, Nunaj said that the main reason why pensions are low is not informality, but high corruption and immigration. As for informality, Nunaj stated that this is a problem that the state should solve itself.
Nunaj : Pensions are low in over 30 years. Business should also be vocal. Informality is present, but said by a head of state is a bit absurd, because it is the state that should reduce informality.
Informality is a secondary reason in my opinion. The main reason is corruption, mismanagement of funds. Another reason is immigration.
