A fatal accident was recorded in the early hours of this morning, on "29 Nëntori" street, near the former "Eagle" square in the capital.
Police authorities report that a vehicle driven by citizen JM, approximately 35 years old, hit an unidentified pedestrian, approximately 70 years old, who was crossing the traffic intersection. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died at the scene.
It is reported that the driver of the vehicle has been escorted to the police station for further action.
Police say the investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident and identify the victim.
