Police execute 17 security measures for OSSH Gjirokastra employees

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, in cooperation with the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, has finalized the police operation codenamed "Clocks".

After a months-long investigation using special methods, 17 security measures have been issued for employees and former employees of the Distribution System Operator (DSO) in the Gjirokastra Regional Directorate, as well as for subscribers suspected of illegal electricity connections.

Of these, some people have been arrested, while others have been placed under house arrest or travel ban. During a search of the apartment of one of the suspects, 22 electricity meters, seals, and equipment for tampering with electricity meters were seized.

From the investigations so far, the following measures have been executed:

* SK, with the position of group leader at OSSH, has been placed under "Prison Arrest".

* R.GJ., RB, IB, with duties respectively as group manager and electricians at OSSH, have been placed under "Prison Arrest".

* IB, a former employee of the OSSH, had 22 electric meters, seals and devices for manipulating meters found and seized in his apartment. He was also caught with illegal electricity connections.

* RS, a former employee of the OSSH, has been placed under "House Arrest".

* SR, TB, XH.B., have been placed under "House Arrest".

* SB, an electrician at OSSH, has been placed under "House Arrest".

* E.XH., an invoicer at OSSH, has been placed under "House Arrest".

* A.SH., a non-family subscriber, has been left with the measures "Prohibition of leaving the country" and "Obligation to report to the judicial police".

* AM and GR, non-family subscribers, are left with the same security measures.

* MK, PS and OZ, family subscribers, have been left with a "Prohibition on leaving the country" and an "Obligation to report to the judicial police".

* AL, who has been placed under "House Arrest", is currently abroad.

Investigations continue for the execution of other measures, while the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that the operation remains open and further developments are expected.
