The General Directorate of Police has published today the preliminary results of the candidates for the positions of chiefs of police stations in the Local Police Directorates, ranking them according to the points accumulated.

A total of 290 candidates participated in the competition, but after verification of documentation, 16 of them were disqualified, while 23 others withdrew during the interview phase. In the final list, 251 candidates were assessed with points, while only 102 of them accumulated more than 70 points.

First place in the ranking was won by Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Demaj with 82 points, while Deputy Commissioner Sefer Lukaj collected the fewest points with 42 points.

Regarding the participation of women in this competition, out of nine competitors, Chief Commissioner Vera Vasia and Commissioner Alda Prela managed to receive 70 points each, ranking among the best in this process.

The State Police announces that this is only a preliminary assessment, while further phases of the process will continue until the final selection.
