Admir Tutaj's request to change the security measure is rejected

This Friday, the Court of Special Appeal rejected Admir Tutaj's request for a milder security measure than "prison arrest".

Judge Saida Dollani decided to uphold the decision of the first instance.

Tutaj was extradited from Colombia to Albania on September 19 of this year, after being declared internationally wanted for three criminal offences.

GJKKO had imposed on him the measure of "arrest in prison" for "Trafficking in arms and ammunition", "Structured criminal group" and "Perpetration of offenses by structured criminal group and criminal organization".

The 25-year-old was declared wanted in April 2023, after a state police operation in the port of Durrës.

In April, police found an arsenal of weapons hidden in a wooden table inside a Benz van.

The investigations carried out by the police showed that the arsenal was secured by Tutaj in collaboration with several other people, with the aim of trafficking them to Great Britain
