Greek authorities have arrested an Albanian woman at Athens' Eleftherios Venizelos airport, who was trying to get a significant amount of marijuana into the country.

According to Greek police, the arrested is part of an international criminal group that handles the import and distribution of SKUNK marijuana in Greece, transporting it mainly through Athens airport.

Her arrest came after a well-organised operation, where authorities had analysed data and created a "profile" of suspicious people. The albanian was located immediately after arriving from Spain.

During the search, police discovered 26 kilograms and 400 grams of marijuana separated into several packages, hidden in two suitcases. In addition to the drug, authorities seized a sum of 195 euros and a mobile phone.

The investigation continues to uncover her links to the criminal network and identify other associates involved in drug trafficking.
