Today, the Supreme Court upheld the decision to seize 39 hectares of land belonging to the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, who before his arrest had benefited from the status of a strategic investor from the Rama government.

Robbery of property is another criminal story, apart from that of paid murders, where the "strategic investor" is involved, who, having the support of the government, had the whole state behind him, from the cadastre, the police, the prosecution and the courts.

39 hectares of land, located in Pulaj of Velipoja, belonged to a 99-year-old woman named Drane Hotaj. After her death it was found that she had excluded her children from the property inheritance in her will. The report to SPAK about the forgeries was made to SPAK on January 16, 2023 by citizens Lule Zefi and her son Donald Zefi.

In an interview of Lule Zefi, heir to the lands that Pëllumb Gjoka had appropriated, she says that the confrontation with the "strategic investor" was hopeless, as she faced the state, but also crime.

In an interview with journalist Anila Hoxha, the heiress of Drane Hotaj, who had properties in Veliopoja, says that she lived under the constant threat of criminal groups, who threatened her with her life. One person even put a pistol to his head to withdraw the complaints.

"This person was sentenced minimally, the case is under appeal. Today, the investigation file was released. That Pëllumb Gjoka called Ervis Martini, that Ervis Martini found Gëzim Çela, Gëzim Çela answered. They came to me at night, they came to me during the day, they came to me in cars, but the children put cameras on me. I have never had a problem in my life, only about the lands," said Lule Zefi in the interview after the arrest of the businessman.

While denouncing the forgeries and the service that the judges had done for Pëllumb Gjoka, Lule Zefi raises doubts that her mother was also killed to take her property in Velipoja.

"The mother passed away in 2022, she had marks on her face and I saw her that day. He died without saying who is sick or not. I was notified at ten o'clock at night, my phone rang. They notified me three times. They told me "Drania is very sick". I replied to you, I didn't have confidence to go out at night, with the condition of the mobsters. I told you "do whatever you want with Drane, leave me alone". It has been exhumed. A sudden death. There were marks on his face," she said.

The name of businessman Gjoka has often been mentioned in political circles, as the opposition has accused him of being a person involved in buying votes in favor of the Socialist Party. Previously engaged in gambling, in July 2021 his company Imperial Group was granted the status of strategic investor for the construction of a tourist resort in Velipojë, with a value of 52 million euros. The opposition has repeatedly denounced his role in the past elections. Speaking specifically about Velipoja after the defeat of Shkodra, Sali Berisha said: "I asked Akil Kraja, the director of the candidate who will be installed on the day of the vote in Velipoja because Pëllumb Gjoka, a problem with a series of serious accusations, but who is said to be Olsi and Edi Rama's money will do everything to intervene.

Achilles went to Velipoja. The voting center had 4-5 thugs at the door with tattoos and gold chains, the voter would come and wait at the door, put their hand on his arm, say something in his ear, escort him inside and wait for him to leave. The last BM of Pëllumb Gjoka almost did not get the door of the VC. "Pellumbi had dispersed the people in cars with foreign license plates and put it under control."

But investigations into more serious charges were registered in the following months, after Europol passed on incriminating information about SKY ECC users to SPAK.

As users of this application, SPAK identified Behar Bajri, Ervis Martini, Pëllumb Gjoka, Denis Bajri, Edmon Preka, Nuredin Dumani, Astmer Bilal, but also representatives of justice such as the prosecutor, Xhevahir Lita and police officials, Oltian Bistri and Ardit Hasanbegaj.

These communications revealed not only murders that had remained without perpetrators, but also confirmed that prosecutors were used to close criminal cases.

Pëllumb Gjoka is accused today of being part of a structured criminal group that is accused of a series of criminal offenses ranging from "Premeditated murder", "Abuse of duty" to "Trafficking of narcotics", in cooperation in the form of the "Structured Group criminal", "Creating conditions for murder", etc./Lapsi.al
