Tender for luxury furniture? QSUT reacts: There is no procurement procedure for

QSUT has reacted after the news that circulated in the media that the institution was implementing a tender for furnishing. The tender in question has a value of 147.8 million ALL or nearly 1.2 million euros.

The news was published by News 24, where it spoke of 'luxury' furniture that will be made to the offices, even specific requirements for doctors and beds, such as: chairs with natural genuine leather upholstery, high back and fire resistant .

QSUT in its reaction rejected the news about the tender in question. The institution writes that there is no procurement procedure for the equipment of the QSUT offices, while it claims that the hospital furniture was carried out in fulfillment of the requirements.

QSUT's reaction:

Based on the articles circulating in the media about the so-called "luxurious offices of the QSUT administration", the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center clarifies that:

There is no procurement procedure for the equipment of the QSUT administration offices.

The New Hospital of Internal Diseases at QSUT is in the phase of finalizing the investment and, in parallel, of furniture and medical equipment with European standards, for which QSUT has carried out the first procedures.

All equipment, including beds for patient rooms, hospital furniture and the equipment needed to make a functional hospital, were made in fulfillment of the requirements of the university services of the Hospital of Internal Diseases at QSUT and conform to the established standards.

QSUT reiterates that there is no procedure for furnishing QSUT offices. Any attempt to cast aspersions on the work of the QSUT staff will not demotivate the work of a team that works every day with dedication and professionalism in the service of citizens.
