The "tentacles" of the Albanian mafia "seize" Switzerland, prosecutors raise the alarm

The "tentacles" of the Albanian mafia "seize" Switzerland,

Articles from foreign media focusing on Albanians have already become frequent. Their deeds have crossed the borders of Albania. Sometimes as criminals, sometimes as artists, sometimes as immigrants and sometimes as "drug heads", are the labels that flood our compatriots the most.

Recently, the Swiss prosecutors in an annual report stopped the emphasis on the mafia that has "invaded" the country, where according to them the Albanians are at the head of it.

According to " Zentral Plus", the Albanian mafia has spread its tentacles very strongly in Switzerland, meanwhile, according to the prosecutors, the groups from Albania have brought the international drug trade under control.

To illustrate this report, the prosecutors took the example of two people arrested earlier, Ervin Hoxha and Martin Keller, who trafficked heavy drugs, from a buyer identified as "Ilir". They had imported 82 kilograms of cocaine with a sales value of 6.4 million francs via South America and the Netherlands.

Albanian criminals are on the rise

Ervin Hoxha and Martin Keller, now imprisoned, had ordered the goods from a wholesaler that the prosecutors call "Ilir" and that works in a country called Albania.

"It is scary, a threat to the population and the economy", declared Lucerne prosecutors, during a presentation of an annual report, to journalists.

For some time, investigative authorities have observed that international crime groups are settling in Lucerne. Organizations from Nigeria, the Italian mafia, but above all groups from Albania, which according to the prosecutor have brought the international drug trade under control.

"Lucerne is attractive to them because of its function as a center and its location on the north-south axis", he declares.

The criminals organized the drug trade from their countries of origin, as they came to Lucerne as "tourists" and organized direct sales with local middlemen.

The story of Ervin Hoxha and Martin Keller is just one example of how organized crime with Albanian criminals kept Lucerne investigators busy. In April, prosecutors announced that they had busted a drug ring and arrested nine people, five Albanians (among them a woman), during an operation with the federal criminal police and the federal prosecutor's office.

The drug network had imported 82 kilograms of cocaine with a sales value of 6.4 million francs via South America and the Netherlands.

Half of the money had already been laundered when the drug ring was busted. This is what the prosecutor called "terrible" and "a threat to society and the economy".
