3 Albanians were arrested after being caught with 148 kg of cocaine. The drugs were hidden in a shipment of bananas bound for Switzerland. The arrested Albanians, two of whom are brothers, had illegally entered the industrial port of the Tuscan city to "collect" the narcotics hidden in a container arriving from the port of Guayaquil in Ecuador.

Fiamme Gialle acted on the basis of alerts shared with the Customs Agency. A scanner identified 139 packages inside the container, then the financiers positioned themselves and waited for several hours to catch anyone coming to get the cocaine. The couriers did not resist and were arrested. They are not residents of Italy, they had no documents and it was difficult to identify them. They would have received a compensation of several thousand euros if the collection of the cargo was successful according to the Italian media.
