Ardian Nikulaj's murder sent to Sarajevo for trial

After the closure of the investigations and the communication of the indictment at the end of last year, the criminal file against Portuguese Ruben Saraiva, accused of the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, has been sent for trial to the Lezha Court.

The case is separate from the other five people, who have not yet been extradited from the UK. The case will be heard by Judge Renis Sheshi and the first preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 26.

The Lezha prosecution has filed charges of "Murder for blood feud" committed in collaboration and "Unlicensed Weapons Possession" against the 30-year-old Portuguese man. The court will now decide whether this case will proceed to trial on the merits or be returned for further investigation.
