He killed his father, Pëllumb Meta's eldest son risks prison for life

The three children of the victim Pëllumb Meta are expected to face serious charges in court. In the police file that was sent to the prosecution, 25-year-old Hysen Meta is suspected of the crime "Murder due to family relations", committed in cooperation. He is also expected to be charged with "Carrying weapons without a permit" and "Hiding or disposing of a corpse".

According to the police, he shot his father with 4 bullets and if he is found guilty, he risks up to life imprisonment according to article 79 point c of the Criminal Code.

And for Hygerta Meta, the 19-year-old student, two charges have been brought: "Murder due to family relations", carried out in cooperation, and "Hiding or disposing of the corpse". Since the Penal Code does not provide for life imprisonment for women, Hygerta risks a sentence of 20 to 35 years in prison.

The younger brother, 21-year-old Amarildo Meta, is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Hiding or disposing of the corpse". He risks a fine of up to 5 years in prison if found guilty.

For the wife of the victim, the investigations continue at large. The police say that she is suspected of having committed the crime "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth". In the Criminal Code, this offense provides for a fine of up to 3 years in prison.
