The former emissary of President Donald Trump for the Kosovo-Serbia talks, Richard Grenell, has stated that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with his actions in the North, has brought a unanimous condemnation from the international community.

In an interview for T7, he said that it is unprecedented for Kosovo to be condemned by the White House and the State Department.

He added that from what he hears in Washington from people employed at the State Department, there is a frustration with Kurti.

" Kosovo has always been a unique friend to the USA, but to have condemnation from the State Department of Joe Biden and the Democrats, to have condemnation from the White House of Joe Biden and the Democrats against a leader of Kosovo is unprecedented and whole unique, and the people of Kosovo must understand that the statement of June 3 that the international community made, asking Albin Kurti to stop unilateral actions and take specific steps ..." said Grenell in an interview for T7.

"He didn't do that, and there will be consequences. I hear this constantly from the State Department and the people who work there are very frustrated with Albin Kurti," he added.

Grenell said that Kurti has changed the reputation of Kosovo in the international scene.

"We know that for years many agreements have been made for the creation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities. This has not been done, so Albin Kurti has changed the reputation of Kosovo on the international stage. I know there are many people in Kosovo who love Albin Kurti and I like his message against corruption and cleaning up the government of Kosovo, there is a lot of corruption in the Balkans, and I like that aspect. I like that you talk about youth involvement. And of course we've seen a lot of young people involved. But let there be no doubt, Albin Kurti has undertaken unilateral actions that have brought condemnation from the international community like never before" , he emphasized.
