The attack on the Kosovo police, the 4 arrested in Banjska are released due to lack of evidence
The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo has released four people arrested on September 24 in Banjska, Zveçan municipality, due to lack of evidence from the Kosovo Police.
The four have been arrested as clashes took place between the Kosovo Police and an armed group near the monastery in Banjska.
In that attack, which for Kosovo was a terrorist attack, an official of the Kosovo Police and three attackers were killed.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo Police arrested four more people.
For three of them, a decision was made for detention for one month.
Suspects with initials. BS, DM, and VT are accused of criminal offenses, committing terrorist offenses and serious offenses against the constitutional order and security of Kosovo.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has accused Millan Radoicic, the vice president of Lista Serbe - the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo - of having organized and participated in the attack in Banjska.
On September 26, Sveçla published a video recorded with a drone, where it is claimed that Radoiçiqi can be seen armed in Banjska.
Lista Serbe – the party that has the support of Belgrade – nor the institutions in Serbia have not reacted to Kosovo's accusations about Radoicic's alleged involvement.
Kosovo has made Serbia responsible for the attack, while Belgrade officially blames the Kosovo Serbs.
The attacks on the Kosovo Police have been condemned by the United States and the European Union and a call has been made for the perpetrators to be brought to justice./ REL
