He was killed after the attack of the Serbian aggressors, his son died 10 years ago
Afrim Bunjaku was killed on the morning of September 24 while he was on duty in the north of Kosovo together with some of his colleagues. A group of Serbian aggressors attacked the police with weapons, leaving Bunjak dead and injuring another.
Bunjak's son died in a road accident 10 years ago. Only 17 years old, the son of the deceased officer, died, while Bunjaku also told how he learned the news of his son's death.
"On September 10, I was at work when I found out that my 17-year-old son Fatlumi had an accident. I was told that he is alive and headed to the hospital. When I got near the hospital, I saw that my son had passed away" , Bunjaku told the media at the time.
Three Serb aggressors were killed by the Kosovo police after the September 24 attack, while 6 others were handcuffed. The police have seized a number of heavy weapons, grenades and armored cars.
