The Special Court in The Hague has filed a new indictment against former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.
The indictment relates to suspicion of obstruction of justice and the arrest of three other suspects for obstruction of officials and disobedience to the court.
"Thaci was in the Kosovo Specialist Chambers Detention Facility when he was served with an arrest warrant and was charged with three counts of obstructing officials in the performance of official duties, three counts of violating the secrecy of proceedings, and four counts of disobeying the court ," the Prosecution said.
The same measure was taken against three other former officials and another person, whom he accuses of influencing witnesses.
In a press release, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers said that a judge has accepted the prosecutors' request for an indictment against Thaci and former Justice Minister Hajredin Kuçi, former head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency Bashkim Smakaj, former mayor of Malisheva Isni Kilaj, and Fadil Fazliu.
