A tense situation in the north of Kosovo, in the village of Banjska in Leposavič, has ended in the killing of one officer and the wounding of another.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced the news himself, who through a post on Facebook, wrote that the event happened around 03:00 in the morning. According to Kurti, the Kosovo police were attacked by masked people armed with heavy weapons.
"Around 3 o'clock in the morning today, in the village of Banjska in Leposaviq, the Kosovo police was attacked, in which case one Kosovo policeman was killed and another was injured. The killed is a police officer with the rank of sergeant, while the injured is a member of the border police. At this moment, the firing of firearms of different calibers on our police continues. The attackers are professionals with masks and armed with heavy weapons" , he announced.
