Kosovo elections: Turnout in elections until 3pm, lower than in 2021

Today's election process is regularly under way, according to a statement by central election commission spokesman Valmir Elezi. He said that by 3 pm the voter turnout had reached 28.32%, which translates to 558,246 voters.

This percentage is lower compared to the 2021 early elections, when by this time 32.32% of citizens, or 567,934 voters, had voted.

Elezi stressed that the integrity of the electoral process is guaranteed through several security measures, including biometric fingerprints, signature of turnout by each voter and camera monitoring at polling stations, minimizing the possibility of double voting.

CeC is expected to publish further data on the process's scoping and final analysis of the participation.
