The head of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, said from the weekly conference with journalists that diplomatic sources from the US have talked about a secret meeting in New York between the Vucic-Rama-Abazovic trio.

Like Berisha, the Serbian media, which published the article written in English with the title "High diplomatic source reveals the proposal presented in New York for the KFOR mission led by NATO to take responsibility in the north of Kosovo".

The article states that the meeting took place behind closed doors during the United Nations General Assembly, where high-ranking officials from the Biden administration engaged in important diplomatic discussions with leaders from the Western Balkans.

According to a diplomatic source referred to by the media "Pavlovic Today" , the prime ministers of the countries of the Western Balkans addressed urgent concerns with the American officials regarding the destabilizing actions of Prime Minister Albin Kurti in the north of Kosovo. They proposed a solution.

"According to our diplomatic source, the call for intervention has been strongly voiced by "at least two" prime ministers of Western Balkan countries, apart from Serbia, who urgently pleaded with the United States to put an end to the "destabilizing activities" of Prime Minister Kurti within Kosovo. The proposed remedy advanced during the informal meeting included trusting NATO forces in Kosovo (KFOR) with full authority over northern Kosovo, effectively replacing the current role of the Kosovo Police Force," the article reads .

Rama offered the same proposal the day before when he said that it is necessary for KFOR to take control of the north of Kosovo. During his speech, the prime minister said that it was a proposal from both sides, both Serbia and Kosovo, a statement that was rejected by Pristina.

“KFOR-i duhet të marrë në kontroll veriun. Çdo hezitim dhe vonesë dhe me argumentin e orëve të fundit se kemi apo jo trupa mund ta bëjë ndërhyrjen e nesërme të KFOR-it shumë më të madhe në trupa dhe vështirësi. Prandaj jam këtu sot dhe më vjen mirë që këtë e kërkon edhe Kosova KFOR-in në veri. Më vjen mirë që dje presidentja Osmani ka kërkuar ndihmën e SHBA-së për draftin e asociacionit. Nuk di cili është mendimi i aleatëve strategjikë për këtë kërkesë, por në thelb kërkesa është pozitive dhe është një hap në drejtimin e duhur nga ana e Kosovës”, tha Rama dje.

Vetë kryeministri Albin Kujrti u shpreh hapur kundër propozimit të Ramës.

"On the proposal of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama for KFOR to take control of the north of Kosovo: "We need joint patrols of our police and KFOR on the border between Kosovo and Serbia. And as for other things, this has already been decided. Everywhere in Kosovo - the first to respond is our police, then EULEX and then KFOR. And I don't think this formula should be changed" , said Kurti.
