Besa Kokëdhima was announced as the winner of the 62nd edition of the Song Festival on Albanian Radio Television.
With the song "Heart in hand", Kokëdhima will now represent Albania in Eurovision 2024.
She was declared the winner among 22 finalists who last night climbed the big stage of the Palace of Congresses on the final night.
"Heart in hand" is a composition by Besa Kokëdhima herself with the producer Kledi Bahiti, while she herself also wrote the verses of the text.
"Heart in hand" was the most voted by the public, while in terms of jury voting, Tiri Gjoci was ranked second with the song "In a dream", while the third place award went to Shpat Deda with the representative song " I can't win without you."
The Critic's Award was given to Martina Serreqi with the song "Vetm ty", while the award for the Best Deputy at the festival went to the Peter Pan Quartet with the song "Edhe ny kortes".
The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place in Malmo, Sweden, following Loreen's victory with the song "Tattoo" last year. The competition will be held on May 7-11.
