What is 'hidden' behind the numbness of the hands?

Experts point out that the hands contain the most sensitive touch receptors in the entire body, and all of these nerves are directly connected to your brain.

They further state that if one of these nerves is damaged, the brain cannot receive all the information sent by the hands, resulting in numbness of the hands.

So, numbness of the hands or as it is also known, the wrist joint occurs when you have a load of nerves. If this happens to you during the day or night, you should not ignore it. This syndrome is especially common for people who spend a lot of time working in front of the computer. In addition to numbness, other symptoms are the feeling as if one or several of the fingers of the hand, especially the thumb, index and middle finger, are swollen or as if they are being pricked with needles. In such cases, doctors advise you to take a little rest, to calm down, but if you have a job that keeps your joints constantly moving, then it is best to stop that work every two or three hours until you calm down a little.

While you need to move your hands, fingers, and do some specific exercises by stretching your muscles. For those people who stand in front of the computer for long hours, they should create a comfortable posture by adjusting the chair so that the arms are at the same level as the keyboard.

Your hands should be kept straight without bending them, otherwise pressure will be placed on your shoulders. Here are some other reasons why your hands go numb: thyroid disorders, alcohol problems, stroke, diabetes, or cysts.
