The 'Sundance' festival has been held in Utah from January 29 until today.

'Sundance' is the largest and most important independent festival in the US. His part this year was the Albanian film 'Hive' which was awarded 3 prizes:

  • ‘World Cinema Grand Jury Aëward’
  • ‘World Cinema Best Director’,
  • ‘World Cinema Audience Award’.

The film with the director and screenwriter Blerta Basholli and the cast of actors, where among others are: Yllka Gashi, Cun Lajci, Aurita Agushi, Kumrije Hoxha and Adriana Matoshi, have been praised for their work and awards.

This film is based on a real event and focuses on Fahrije, whose husband has been missing since the Kosovo war. She tries to set up a small business to provide income for the children, but in the meantime confronts the patriarchal mentality. Fahrija has to make an important decision.
