Harris makes the mistake of saying the US and North Korea have an "alliance

In an apparent — and extremely unfortunate — verbal gaffe, Vice President Kamala Harris called the Republic of North Korea a "very important relationship" for the United States, adding to a growing string of public gaffes made by Harris and her boss. , President Joe Biden.

"The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea, and it's a strong and enduring alliance," Harris began during her remarks at the DMZ on Thursday.

"The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea, and it is a strong and enduring alliance," Harris began during her remarks at the DMZ today.

While clearly a misguided speech (after all, Harris spent much of her time at the podium bashing North Korea and Kim Jung Un's "brutal dictatorship"), perhaps the most troubling part of it all is the fact that she didn't notice her mistake, or try to correct it.

It's not the first time Harris has struggled to keep her place on the world stage. In May, she identified Ukraine as a NATO country - an obvious mistake, given that much of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia stems from the fact that Ukraine is not a NATO country, but will wanted to be.

Unfortunately for the Biden administration, Harris' latest blunder comes just hours after Biden invoked a dead senator during a speech Wednesday.
