Here's how to adjust the air conditioner during hot days

With temperatures rising and the arrival of the hottest days of summer, many of us turn to air conditioners to create a cooler and more comfortable environment inside our homes or offices. But the question often arises: what is the ideal temperature to feel good, save energy, and not risk your health?

According to climate and health experts, the optimal temperature for air conditioning during hot days is around 24-26°C during the day and around 25-27°C at night.

This temperature helps the body gradually adapt to the environment, avoids heat stroke, and protects against sudden temperature changes that can affect the respiratory system or cause headaches and fatigue.

Another reason to keep the temperature moderate is to save electricity. The lower the temperature set on the air conditioner, the harder the device works and the higher the monthly bill becomes. A change of just one degree can lead to up to 5-7% more energy consumption.

It is also important not to stand directly in front of the cold air stream and to regularly check the air conditioner filters to avoid spreading germs or allergens into the air.

For a healthier and cooler summer, don't overdo it with the cold. Sometimes, too much coolness can be just as harmful as heat, it's all about balance. And don't forget to drink water, wear light clothes, and stay in well-ventilated areas.
