There's a reason why you're moody and anxious on Sunday

Sunday is defined as a day of relaxation and rest. A day when people take a break from everyday life and spend time for themselves, loved ones and activities that please them. And while this seems perfectly reasonable, the reality is quite different. A surprising number of people seem to spend their Sunday full of anxiety and worry.

According to a recent American survey, the average person experiences "Sunday Fear", ie. feeling anxious or worried about the week ahead. These feelings tend to happen about 36 times a year, which is almost 9 months out of every year. When do they shoot? Around 3:54 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

The figures came after a survey of 2,000 adults found that 'Sunday terror' often manifests as anxiety (32%) or fear (17%) about the week ahead. Many of the respondents (23%) admitted that it is difficult to enjoy Sunday because they are preoccupied with thoughts about the next week at work or school.
