Princess Diana's granddaughters bring back the "revenge dress!" 30 years later

Princess Diana's granddaughters bring back the "revenge dress!"

Princess Diana's granddaughters, Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer, made a glamorous appearance at the British Fashion Awards on December 2, and if their chic black dresses looked familiar, there's a reason.

The 32-year-old twins have brought back the Princess of Wales' legendary black revenge dress. Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer were spotted wearing two versions of Diana's iconic dress in London.

Lady Amelia was seen wearing a Pamella Roland dress at the Fashion Awards, with a pin strikingly similar to her aunt's famous miniature. Although Amelia's dress was long, she certainly gave off the same energy and paired it with lots of diamonds.

As for Lady Eliza, she also opted for a similar black dress, wearing a version that had sleeves that started down at the shoulders. Like Amelia, the model also wore a diamond necklace along with a bracelet, earrings and rings.

Princess Diana's original black dress was worn the same night Prince Charles publicly admitted to having an affair. However, the moment dominated the headlines, all of which read something along the lines of "Charles blurs while Diana goes blind," as reported by The Daily Mail at the time.

Meanwhile, the black dress has entered the history of royal fashion.

Of all Princess Diana's memorable fashion moments, the 'revenge dress' has had the biggest impact on pop culture.
