The famous actor Adam Rich died at the age of 54

Actor Adam Rich, best known for his role in "Eight Is Enough", has passed away at the age of 54. The cause of death has not yet been revealed. Born on October 12, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York, Rich rose to fame in the 70s after portraying Nicholas Bradford, the youngest son of the Bradford generation in Eight Is Enough. The ABC show, which also starred Dick Van Patten, Lani O'Grady, Connie Needham, Grant Goodeve, ran from 1977 to 1981.

Rich's other films include Code Red, Dungeons & Dragons, Small Eonder and Baywatch. Outside of acting, Rich has also made headlines over the years for substance abuse struggles. He was arrested in 1991 after breaking the window of a pharmacy to get drugs. After spending years in and out of rehab, Rich was arrested again in 2002 on charges of driving under the influence. According to CBS News, Adam denied the allegations at the time, telling reporters, "I've been sober for 10 years."
