Attempts to destabilize inter-ethnic relations in North Macedonia always happen when a party needs it, say political analysts for Radio Free Europe, after a series of incidents that occurred in recent days. On November 28, in celebration of the Albanian Flag Day, the Albanian and Macedonian flags were desecrated in various places in North Macedonia. In connection with this, the police arrested 17 people.

"We are a society where ethnic feelings are clearly played with. Although it seems that the battle is about who is the greatest Albanian among the Ashiqar Albanians, the events have consequences in the wider society. When violent acts are committed, it is essential that the institutions do their job, i.e. act quickly, impartially and non-selectively", political analyst Aleksandar Krzhalovski tells Radio Free Europe.

The case of the burning of cars and a business facility in Kumanovo on the morning of December 2, one of which belongs to public prosecutor Xelal Bajrami, former Minister of Labor and Social Policy from DUI, now in the opposition, and the other belongs to a councilor in the Municipality of Kumanovo from this party, is related to the incidents of desecration of flags on Flag Day.

The opposition party from the Albanian political bloc, DUI, cannot be excluded from the events that could incite inter-ethnic tensions, comment the analysts with whom Radio Evropa e Lirë spoke.
For some, the government is to blame for this, as it formed a coalition with the VLEN group from the Albanian political bloc. However, other analysts blame DUI because it cannot come to terms with the loss after 20 years in power.

After the elections, VMRO-DPMNE as a partner in power invited the VLEN coalition, while DUI considered that it was a legitimate representative of the Albanians. Prime Minister Mickoski said that the VLEN coalition with the result of 107,000 votes in the parliamentary elections, is a reliable partner in the future government and sent DUI to the opposition.

Inter-ethnic relations are used when the authorities cannot realize the policies and results they have promised, says Sefer Selimi, executive director of Democracy Lab, for Radio Free Europe.

Prandaj është e interesuar ta mashtrojë publikun edhe me rrezikun e përkeqësimit të marrëdhënieve ndëretnike, si tema më e ndjeshme politike. Është përkeqësuar klima e përgjithshme dhe kjo, jo në relacionin maqedonas-shqiptarë, por në marrëdhëniet shteti-shqiptarët, sepse shqiptarët në institucione përballen me përjashtime nga puna”, deklaroi Selimi.

Ndërkohë, analisti politik dhe ish-ministri i Financave, aktualisht anëtar i Këshillit të Sigurisë i Presidencës maqedonase, Xhevdet Hajredini, përmes rrjetit social Facebook, dënoi përdhosjen e flamujve shtetëror gjatë festimit me rastin e 112- vjetorit të pavarësisë së Shqipërisë.

“Nuk është shenjë trimërie të shkelësh me veturë flamurin e shtetit në të cilin jeton”, shkroi Hajredini.

Stefan Buçakovski, profesor në fushën e shkencave të sigurisë, vlerëson se ngjarjet në tërësi nuk kanë një komponent të organizuar klasik, por ai konsideron se këto ngjarje i përgjigjen një strukture të caktuar politike, në këtë rast BDI-së, që t`i shfrytëzojë për qëllime të veta. Sipas tij, edhe pse në publik ndihet tension, ai nuk mund të shndërrohet në konflikt, sepse "konfliktet janë kohë e kaluar".

"Një parti e caktuar politike, për të qëndruar në pushtet, përkatësisht për të fshehur aktivitete kriminale të lidhura me veprimtarinë shumëvjeçare, përpiqet ta bëjë këtë në çdo mënyrë. Ne në kriminalistikë vendosim versione. Njëri version është se edhe vetë mund të shkaktojë gjendje negative që do të ndikojnë në opinionin publik. Mendoj se ajo parti ka një sistem të mirë të përpunuar të ndikimit negativ politik mbi gjendjet për të ardhur përsëri në pushtet, dhe ky skenar i përshtatet", thotë Buçakovski.

Kryeministri Hristijan Mickoski dërgoi një mesazh për qytetarët për unitet dhe qetësi duke i porositur të mos bien pre e provokimeve. Sipas Mickoskit, gjëra të tilla do të ndodhin edhe në të ardhmen, sepse, siç tha ai, "këta njerëz janë të frikësuar për milionat që kanë fituar në kurriz të popullit të thjeshtë dhe tani e dinë se po vjen koha për drejtësi".

"E di se ekziston një grup i izoluar politik, i cili këta pesë - gjashtë muaj e ka vështirë të mësohet të jetw në opozitë pas më se dy dekadash në pushtet. Por, ajo që i shqetëson ata është fakti që ndoshta drejtësia është e ngadaltë, por ngadalë po u afrohet. Do të ketë edhe përpjekje të tjera për përshkallëzim, për tensione ndëretnike, madje edhe kjo që ndodhi disa ditë më parë nga ana jonë u parandalua dhe u paralajmëruan të gjithë faktorët përkatës dhe partnerët tanë strategjikë", tha Mickoski pas incidenteve me flamujt më 28 nëntor.

Koalicioni i partive shqiptare VLEN, e dënoi përdhosjen e flamurit shtetëror maqedonas dhe e quajti aktin "të turpshëm dhe të papranueshëm".

"Pas festimit deri tani të paparë të 28 Nëntorit, ndërsa kënga dhe vallja shqiptare jehonin në të gjithë vendin, është e qartë se kjo atmosferë festive nuk u përgjigjej atyre, të cilëve iu prish komoditeti nëpër kolltukët e pushtetit. Në fund të ditës, u paraqitën këto qarqe, që dëshirojnë ta destabilizojnë shtetin. Jo pse e duan shtetin, por sepse u mungon pushteti", thanë nga koalicioni VLEN.

Ky koalicion gjithashtu njoftoi se janë siguruar fotografi që dëshmojnë se të rinjtë që dogjën flamurin shtetëror janë bashkëpunëtorë të afërt të ish-zëvendëskryeministrit nga BDI-ja, Artan Grubi. Grubi përgënjeshtroi lidhjen dhe paralajmëroi padi.

BDI-ja kërkoi dorëheqjen e menjëhershme dhe të parevokueshme të ministrit të Punëve të Brendshme, Pançe Toshkovski, dhe zëvendësit të tij, Astrit Iseni, për incidentet në Ditën e Flamurit. Nëse nuk ndodhin dorëheqjet, partia paralajmëroi interpelancë në Kuvend kundër tyre.

Regarding the positions of Prime Minister Mickoski, regarding the destabilization of the state, Dimitrievic said that one should not enter into the tale of destabilization. After the parliamentary elections of May this year, when the DUI expressed dissatisfaction with the non-inclusion in the government led by VMRO DPMNE, it warned of protests in September, but so far it has not held them.

Prime Minister Mickoski announced this summer that he has received information from several channels that the DUI leadership will take steps to destabilize the state to protect the capital created in the last 20-22 years.

After the incidents of November 28 and those of Monday in Kumanovo, accompanied by harsh rhetoric between political parties, the heads of religious communities in North Macedonia called for coexistence.

"God wanted us to live in a common state. Therefore, we, the heads of the Macedonian Orthodox Church - Ohrid Archdiocese, the Islamic Religious Community, the Catholic Church, the Methodist Evangelical Church and the Jewish Community, call on all Macedonian citizens not to fall prey to certain attempts to disrupt coexistence, but let's all together continue to maintain respect for each other for the state symbols of our homeland and for the symbols of all ethnic communities in it", said the religious communities./ REL
