Tensions in the North/ Bugajski: Blinken's statement was naive

The expert on politics in the Balkans, Janosz Bugajski, has spoken about the situation in the north of Kosovo, but also beyond, as well as about the approach of the American administration to this situation.

" We expected a wiser approach from the Biden administration, removing part of Serbia's control in Kosovo to increase the number of recognitions, but also recognition from Serbia, not only de facto recognition," Bugajski declared .

Furthermore, Bugajski said that recently it has been observed that there is a kind of tendency to favor countries in the region such as Croatia, Serbia and Albania, instead of Bosnia, Kosovo, etc. So since there is an intervention from two different sides. The more aggressive you are, the more concessions you get, while in small countries, if you are aggressive, you are put under pressure.

"This administration, while serving domination, serves more instability, more violent conflict," Bugajski explained further.

Asked at what point are the relations between Kosovo and the USA after Secretary Blinken's reaction to the situation in Kosovo, Bugajski said that Belgrade is most happy about the current situation.

"This cooperation should be repaired and the US should clearly state what it means by 'normalization of relations' and how to get there, which should mean mutual recognition, because we have had many agreements but no implementation," declared Bugajski , as he added that less than that we will have repeated problems, especially on the part of Serbia, which will destabilize the situation and prevent any kind of final agreement between the two countries.

'Washington needs to take a step back, take a breath and understand what's going on. So he should sit down with both sides and find an agreement ', was Bugajski's answer regarding the state of relations with the USA and Kosovo.

Regarding the criticism of the American administration towards Kosovo, Bugajski said that this is the problem that this administration is blaming on a state that tries to implement the agreement, the election results, adding that you cannot support democracy and undermine democracy at the same time.

' This administration is below the level of policy achievement when Biden was a senator, where he advised on politics in the Balkans, in resolving wars, preventing future conflicts, then the independence of states. So it has withdrawn from this formula and this is very dangerous ," Bugajski explained further.

Regarding the Prime Minister's statement against Secretary Blinken, whose statement he assessed as naive, Bugasjki said that he fully supports it.

Bugajski kritikoi këtë këndvështrim të opozitës, duke thënë se Qeveria është në një presion të madh dhe nuk duhet të sulmohet ajo.
