From the expenses of the ceremony to the inscription on the tomb, Pope

The BBC has published the full will of Pope Francis, who died on Easter Monday at the age of 88.

Inside, Pope Francis' instructions regarding his funeral ceremony are given, such as the expenses, location, or inscription on the tomb.

Full testament:

"As I feel the approaching twilight of my earthly life and with unwavering hope in eternal life, I wish to set forth my last wishes only in regard to the place of my burial.

"Throughout my life and during my ministry as a priest and bishop, I have always entrusted myself to the Mother of our Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and for this reason I ask that my mortal remains rest – awaiting the Day of Judgment – in the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major.

"I wish that my last earthly journey will end precisely in this ancient Marian sanctuary, where I will always stop to pray at the beginning and end of each Apostolic Journey, entrusting my intentions to the Immaculate Mother and giving thanks for her tender and maternal care."

“I request that my tomb be prepared in the burial niche in the side aisle between the Pauline Chapel (Chapel of Salus Populi Romani) and the Sforza Chapel of the Basilica, as shown on the attached plan.

The grave should be in the ground; simple, without special decorations, with only the inscription: Francis.

"The expenses of the funeral preparations will be covered by a sum given by a benefactor, which I have arranged to be transferred to the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major. I have given the necessary instructions in this regard to Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Liberian Basilica."

"May God grant due reward to all those who have loved me and who continue to pray for me. The suffering that has marked the last part of my life, I offer to God, for peace in the world and for brotherhood among peoples."
