A man has died in Spain after being attacked by a bull during a festival.

According to foreign media, the deceased was injured in the ribs by a bull at the festival in the Valencian city of Pobla de Farnals on Saturday, although he was taken to hospital he could not survive his injuries.

Another Spaniard was injured in the leg by the same bull during the bullfight in the streets of the city and is in a stable condition.

In these festivals, bulls are left in the streets of the city while people run in front of them, a tradition that takes place in at least 1,820 cities in Spain every year.

These festivals draw large crowds every year, despite many activists describing them as dangerous and brutal. In recent years, the proposal to ban them has been discussed.
