Rama returns to criticism of SPAK: Interviews are conducted like in the Stone

Prime Minister Edi Rama has returned to criticizing the Special Prosecution Office.

During the presentation of the GRECO report on the fight against corruption, Rama said that while the digitalization of some services is underway, the judiciary still continues to conduct interviews as in the Stone Age.

"While we are moving forward with the full digitalization of the Cadastre, thanks to the support of the EC, we will work to introduce Artificial Intelligence into the Cadastre processes. In the justice system, we are still in the Stone Age, we conduct interviews in the Prosecutor's Office and the Police without audio and video. Interviews in the Prosecutor's Office, from those of the General Jurisdiction to the Special Jurisdiction, are conducted as in the Stone Age. I see you, you see me. I ask you, you tell me and I write what I want. This has been highlighted by international institutions.

One of the things that needs to be urgently corrected, and we will correct it by continuing to strongly support the justice system, SPAK, GJKKO and other new institutions created by the justice reform and hoping that the digital management system of all cases with the judicial power will finally become a reality. A project that has been illogically delayed and that I hope will be put on track and I hope that the High Judicial Council will not delay it any longer. We have committed funds and are in support to implement this program", said Rama.
