Berisha: The arrest measure is the work of Rama and the US Embassy in Tirana

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said that during his stay under "house arrest" for almost a year, he managed to create the gates of hell for Edi Rama.

"I had Edi Rama in front of me, I had Surrel. I managed to send him to the gates of hell, because he was dealing with the window from morning to night," Berisha said on the "Open" show on News24.

He expressed appreciation for his supporters, who for about a year supported him on what he called the 'Path of Hope'.

"Those who came were idealists. First came the US Embassy, ​​which monitored that gathering of idealists, then there were those from the Government who took photographs, who exerted pressure, but in the end the path of Hope won out."

"The measure of my arrest was a joint work of diplomats from the US Embassy in Tirana and Edi Rama," Berisha said.
