The Population Census, denounces Dule: Violations are being committed with the registration of the Greek minority
The head of PBDNJ, Vangjel Dule stated that violations are being committed with the registration of the Greek minority in the 2023 Population Census.
According to Dula, the surveyors are not recording on tablets, but taking notes on paper and that they do not ask citizens about ethnicity, mother tongue and religion.
"We have tried to convey the spirit of cooperation with the goal of a democratic result and accepted by all. It is with concern that we present to you the findings of PBDNJ activists, regarding the development of the Census. First of all, there are many cases when recorders, in violation of the law, do not record with the relevant tablets but keep notes with the promise that they will throw them away later.
No written notice is left as required by law in apartments where there is no resident. We have denounced cases such as in Tirana, Korçë, Sarandë, and elsewhere where questions about ethnicity, mother tongue and religious belief are not addressed to citizens. These are said to be optional. The response from the registrar is mandatory" , declared Dule.
