'Diaspora'/ Meta: Fiscal guarantee for returning entrepreneurs

The Freedom Party convened the Diaspora Commission on Thursday, where President Ilir Meta stated that the program of the political force he leads has five priorities, one of which is the diaspora.

Meta underlined that "the goal is to add 4 million Albanians to the country, who have left the country due to bad governance".

"And 4 million plus Albanians cannot be achieved without the reintegration of the majority of the diaspora, which today is far from the country, but whose mind, heart and soul are here".

Meta promised the creation of a ministry for the diaspora and facilitating fiscal policies for the return of Albanians living abroad.

"We must be careful to protect our country in the education of our children, both at home and abroad. The role of the state in this direction is essential to enable communication bridges in the field of education with the countries where Albanians live. Without the role of the diaspora, there would never be an independent Albanian state. The role of the diaspora in America, the role of the people of Arbëresh, which has been indisputable, and which fanatically preserved the image of Skënderbeu", said Meta.

The President of the Freedom Party said that the diaspora has the fate of the country in its hands.

"The Freedom Party is committed to having a minister for the diaspora in its government, not to create events, but to promote policies, bridges of communication between the diaspora and the Albanian state in order for them to return and invest in Albania. An office for the diaspora will also be created in every embassy to create cultural events, to provide legal protection, training for the reintegration of the diaspora in our country through the facilities that we will create with the policies that will be undertaken", said Meta.

Referring to fiscal facilities, Meta said that, "for those who want to return, we will do everything for institutional coordination to facilitate their reintegration, education, and all other elements.
