"My brother was used as cannon fodder"/ Bardhi responds to Rama: 7 questions that prove the failure of SPAK's investigation into Olsi

"My brother was used as cannon fodder"/ Bardhi responds to Rama: 7

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted for the first time regarding the "Xibraka" file after the SPAK decision. He stressed that he had not spoken about this issue until now, waiting for justice to speak with evidence.

Rama stated that SPAK has confirmed that his brother, Olsi Rama, has no connection with the unidentified person in the file and that there are no facts linking him to criminal activity.

He accused the opposition, especially MP Gazment Bardhi, of slander, saying that his brother was used as "cannon fodder" to attack politically. Rama also announced that after the suspension of the investigations into Olsi Rama, he will seek Gazment Bardhi's conviction for false reporting.

Gazment Bardhi's reaction:
In response to Rama's statements, the head of the DP parliamentary group Gazment Bardhi accused SPAK of incompetence and attempts to hide the truth, by not properly investigating Olsi Rama's possible connections with the criminal groups involved in the "Xibraka" file. Bardhi stressed that SPAK's statement was an attempt to "cleanse" Olsi and avoid the necessary investigations. He raised several unresolved questions, including Olsi Rama's connection to the drug trafficking car and its use for multiple border crossings. Bardhi stressed that SPAK's investigation was incomplete and that the appropriate information was not sought from international authorities, including the Hanover prosecutor's office in Germany, which had the initial information on the criminal group.

Bardhi:  Olsi's brother came out today and reread exactly the same speech he gave when the opposition accused former minister Saimir Tahiri of being involved in collaboration with drug traffickers. He spoke at length, said nothing, and his face showed the opposite of what he was saying.

He spoke about evidence that SPAK found that Olsi was not involved in the "Xibraka" Laboratory, but he did not mention what specifically SPAK found and investigated.

The truth is quite the opposite and today many questions remain unanswered that prove that there was no SPAK "investigation" into Ols Rama!

Only a Prosecutor's Office where, as a rule, members are predestined to serve the government and not to enforce the law, could publish such a ridiculous and scandalous announcement with the aim of "clearing" Ols Rama from the Xibraka file, even though it itself announces that:

The investigation is not over!
The file is not closed!
The file is suspended!

This happened because the prosecutor in the case (the same one who lied publicly about the Elbasan incident in 2021, that there were no electoral materials in the stopped car) "could not identify any of the other perpetrators of the criminal offenses" who have remained unidentified for 10 years now.

But did Ols' prosecutor identify whether Ols Rama was among these unidentified people or not? How? What evidence did he collect for this? What is the photo that accompanies the observation group's report regarding the "unidentified person aged 45"? Why is the photo of the observation group's report not made public so that citizens can help with information "to identify him"?

The prosecutor's statement does not answer these questions, which is the essence of the request for SPAK. However, the prosecutor has taken care to politically say that Ols Rama is not involved in illegal activities, because he has not investigated and consequently there is no evidence. The investigation is carried out precisely to collect evidence, based on the indications that the prosecution has had complete and incontestable.

When the prosecutor failed to reveal the identity of the unidentified persons, how did he come to the conclusion that the prime minister's brother was not involved in criminal activity?! How did he conclude the investigations, as he says in the first sentence, while in fact he decided to suspend the investigations, meaning no investigation was completed?!

The prosecutor could only reach such a conclusion if he discovered that the unidentified person, about whom the prosecution's own file speaks, is not Olsi, but Filan Fistek. The reasoning "we don't know who he is, but we put our hand in the fire that it is not Olsi", is not simply evidence of professional incompetence.

Such a case, perhaps unique in the history of criminal investigation, proves that the Prime Minister's public pressure on the prosecutor in the case has worked and SPAK does not have the power to investigate the Prime Minister and his family.

Personally, I have been clear about this since day one, although, in fulfilling my functions as a member of the Albanian Parliament, I have given SPAK the opportunity to prove to the Albanians that it is an independent body and uninfluenced by the government. I understand them, they are powerless, they feel intimidated by Edi Rama, but they have no reason to be ridiculous!

To show the quality of the investigation that the prosecutor failed to conduct, I am presenting some simple facts and questions:

Fact 1. Olsi Rama, together with the leaders of the cocaine organization, used the same car with license plates AA653DM to cross the border 18 times at the time of the establishment of the cocaine laboratory in Xibraka. This is proven by the official data of the TIMS system.
Question 1 for Edi Rama and SPAK: What connects Olsi Rama to the leaders of the drug organization and the trafficking car?

Fact 2. Of the 18 entries and exits of the car with license plate AA653DM belonging to the criminal group, 7 of them belong to Olsi Rama. This is proven by the official data of the TIMS system.
Question 2 for Edi Rama and SPAK: Why did Ols Rama and the convicted traffickers of Xibraka use the same car at the same time?

Fact 3. The police and the prosecution have not identified a user of the car with license plate AA653DM, even though they have identified his age as 45 years old. Ols Rama is a user of this car and at that time he was definitely 45 years old.
Question 3 for Edi Rama and SPAK: Have you requested information from the State Police about the inability to identify all the people involved and how they managed to identify the person's definitely age (45 years old), without knowing his identity?

Fact 4. On the day of Genci Xhixho's escape, Ols Rama crossed the border by car, but without registering the vehicle. This is proven by the official data of the TIMS system.
Question 4 for Edi Rama and SPAK: Why was Ols Rama's vehicle not registered?

Fact 5. This file originated from the investigations of the Hanover prosecutor's office, while SPAK states that it has only cooperated with the Kosovo authorities.
Question 5 for Edi Rama and SPAK: Why did you not also cooperate with the Hanover prosecutor's office/police, Germany, as the authority that has the initial data and wiretaps of the group?

Fact 6. Ols Rama has publicly admitted that he used the drug car and knows one of the drug traffickers.
Question 6 for Edi Rama and SPAK: Which of the drug traffickers does Ols Rama know and why did he lie about only using the vehicle once, when TIMS data proves he used it at least 7 times?

Fact 7. In the session of April 4, 2024, the then Minister of Interior, Taulant Balla, informed the plenary session of the Albanian Parliament that he is aware of the identity of one of the unidentified persons, aged 45.
Question 7 for Edi Rama, Mr. SPAK: Have they asked the Minister of Interior about what he has officially declared in the Parliament that he knows and whether he has officially reported the crime he is aware of to SPAK?

The answer to the last question is public, he was neither summoned nor reported. Now the question becomes even simpler: How is it possible that Taulant Balla, who, on April 4, 2024, as Minister of the Interior, declared in a plenary session that he knew who the unidentified person was, was not summoned for questioning?

This is enough to understand that the prosecutor, as usual, did not intend to uncover the truth, but to hasten to amnesty the crime. But at least this proved indisputably what we all knew: brothers Edi and Ols Rama are untouchable! Thank you for confirming it for us, even at the cost of making yourself look ridiculous! You could have spared us this last one.

Finally, I'm showing you an attached video, which you may need for your archive: The Minister of Interior at the time, who is responsible for the Police, informs the Albanian Parliament that he knows who the "unidentified person" is. How is it possible that he knows and SPAK doesn't know. Why doesn't he have the courage to ask SPAK? What is he trying to hide?
