The Head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, during his speech in the Assembly, spoke about the opinion of the Venice Commission regarding the compatibility of the mandate of the socialist MP, Olta Xhaçka.

Among other things, he requested that the Xhaçka case be put on the agenda and sent to the Constitutional Court, in order to decide whether or not it is in conditions of incompatibility.

' The Venice Commission has told you what we have told you in this hall, what the Constitutional Court has said, that you cannot lift your independence or your freedom of vote when it comes to the decisions of the Constitutional Court. It cannot be considered as imposing a way of voting, but as fulfilling a responsibility.

Therefore, put it on the agenda immediately. Hand Olta Xhaçka over to justice, let the Court of Justice decide whether or not she is in the conditions of incompatibility. Any behavior contrary to her is an undermining of the rule of law , said Bardhi.
