Veliaj, 'squeezed lemon' or 'rotten apple' that Edi Rama released today

"Who feeds with corruption the crime of the desire for self-enrichment through public office, is not a squeezed lemon that I throw, but a rotten apple that falls by itself."

This was one of the phrases of Prime Minister Edi Rama today when he spoke for about two hours in front of ministers and socialist deputies, making it clear to them and showing the cell to all those who, according to him, are treading 'on a rotten board', as he removes the responsibilities from himself, for the subordinates he appoints himself. 

During the long speech, it seems that Rama gave a clear message to the mayor Erion Veliaj, after the corrupt scandal "5D" and after a few days he was called to SPAK where he testified for about 7 hours about the mega affair of the phantom incinerator.

"Just like someone who is elected head of a municipality, if he puts his hands into the coffers of this state and the pockets of this people, he is not with us. There is no way it can be us, nor how it can demand anything from us other than contempt.

In other words, every member of this political family who commits corruption in public functions is a double traitor, not only of the Albanian people like every thief in a suit who takes what is not his, but also of the SP like every parasite who it feeds on the blood of the body where it grows",  said Rama among other things, bluntly telling him that he does not just drop the little boy on some rock over the sea when he is going to jump.

No, I haven't done anything, they are falling on my neck. If you haven't done anything, neither I nor the SP care about you, but the truth.

So fight for your truth. Because this party and this government do not make any comments on the issues opened by SPAK. No longer the lawyer of a director, mayor, minister, deputy or former minister ", added the chief socialist.

The crisis in Rama-Veliaj relations was not passed in silence even a few days ago.

The awarding of the title "Honorary Citizen of Tirana" to Ali Ahmet, brought Prime Minister Rama back to the doors of the Municipality of Tirana.

The reception was made by the chairman Erion Veliaj, but the coldness between them was seen in two key moments.   

As soon as he took the floor, Rama said that only Ali Ahmeti could bring him back to the Municipality of Tirana, showing that there is no reason to visit his mayor in these times when he is facing constant attacks from the opposition and not only.

Later, the prime minister published a photo in which Veliaj was also present, but he had cut out the latter, posting the photo without the mayor.

A clear message for Veliaj, who will have to face the constant attacks alone, as Rama shows once again that he lets go of all those who have problems with justice, and this time it seems that the next is in the doors of the City Hall, which has been run by Erion Veliaj for three terms.
