The NATO Tactical Air Base in Kuçovo is expected to be inaugurated on March 4.
The news was announced by the Ministry of Defense.
The tactical air base of Kuçova will be at the service of various trainings and operations of the Alliance and is the only base for national operations and those of strategic importance of NATO in the Western Balkans.
The investment in this base reaches the value of about 45.8 million euros and consists in the construction of armament depots, fuel depots, armament stations, aircraft parking lot, emergency and fire station, reconstruction of the runway and the control tower.
Even the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, in the joint press statement with Prime Minister Edi Rama, said that next month the NATO air base will be inaugurated in Kuçovo.
