The expert denounces: Albanian institutions are unable to protect themselves

The security expert, Besmir Semanaj, has raised the alarm that hackers find it quite easy to interfere in Albanian institutions.

In Euronews Albania, he referred to the reports of the High State Control regarding the lack of anti-virus programs in state institutions, which also store the sensitive data of citizens.

"Here they had to take credit that we were not affected by this defect. It was simply fate that Albania does not have this system, the Albanian companies did not have the money to buy this system. I am referring to the reports of KLSH about institutions that have a lack of antivirus systems on the servers of Albanian institutions, they do not have firewalls. So we are easily hackable.” - said the expert.

Regarding the reference of the case with the reports of the KLSH and the lack of protection programs from hackers in the Albanian institutions, the expert recalled the hacking of data in the State Police, the Parliament, INSTAT and TIMS, about which very little is said.
